St Patrick’s Day!

or Paddy’s Day as the Americans call it

Is the biggest festival in Dublin and is also celebrated around the world, in places like Japan and U.S.A

The best of the festival is a parade that goes through the City and ends around 1pm, it’s quite long and is full of giant puppets and bands. This year an Spanish band from Galicia has participated. I could not get proper photos of the parade because the streets were packet!

After the parade I went to a kind of concert next to St Stephen’s Greens Park , Earlsfort Terrace I think is the name of the street.
That’s what I enjoyed the most.
The band is called “Kilfenora Ceili” and they were playing irish music, obviously , for over three ours. The place was like a massive dance floor and they even brought to stage one of the most famous irish dancers, was awesome.

When the concert went over my buddy and I did what you would do if wouldn’t have been there before, Follow the crowd. And what all the multitude was doing by 5pm was going into the pubs, so there we went. Every pub in St.Patrick’s day is fun.

I think what I liked the most was the band and the atmosphere in the streets every were was green, every one was wearing green (even me from head to toes) and the last was all the trouble makers, mainly teenagers. This year more than 30 people got arrested on the festival. Ah well, wasn’t me one of them.
